~~Blogging just to hear you Blog~~

~~ I was late watching TV, when flipping through the channel I happened upon Crossroads with Dave and Eemylou Harris and since I have never seen it (I know, gasp, such a DMB-Fan-Slacker am I... and on that subject I still have yet to buy Stand Up.. I suck)I know I have said it a bazillion times, but I just love that Dave, LOVE LOVE LOVE!! There is something about his ways, they were interviewing he and EmmyLou and the things he says are just funny, I mean FUNNY funny, and it seems as if he does not even think he is funny, like he says these things and then goes on to the next thing and he cracks out another and so on. I could SO see me hanging out with him!! I know people that knew him when he was still only a bartender @ Millers and they say he is very genuine... I wonder if Miss Ashley Matthews finds her hubbie and wonderous as I..hmmmmmm?!!

~~Andy and I went to see 3 Doors Down, Breaking Ben and Staind on Saturday, good show. It was so much NOT a DMB show, there was moshing and A LOT of fighting going on as we walked through the lawn.. and the overall tone is very different being that these are hard rock as opposed to my scatting-jamming DMB, but a good show just the same.3DD put on the best part of the show(as they were the headliner) with the screens playing different pictures on and the light show was good and they had good energy, we got up rel close to the front for the encore, and Andy was VERY VERY EXCITED (3DD is to him as DMB is to me).. then there was a moment that I really thought how very different our music tastes are, but how passionate about each we both are.

~~ The boys had their baseball picnic on Saturday afternoon. There was BBQ-food-a-plenty, and the atmosphere was very relaxed, but most shocking to me was the barrel of beer they had for the adults. You see these people (not all of them as it was for all of the leauges teams) several days a week for months, yet, to see them with a few beers in em' letting down there guards was another beast of its own... kinda like when you see someone outside of work, whether it be at the store, or at a bar.. you have to do a doulble take because they almost are unrecognizable out of there "element". The picnic was fun, they had a homerun derby for the kids and Aaron took 2nd for T-Ball and Andrew 2nd for 10 year-olds.. and they even had little trophies for them, they were going to have an adult game, but ran out of time OR the parents were feeling a little too-relaxed and it never happened. Too bad we had to go to the concert,because it would have been fun to see the snooty-patootie mones really get hammered, but hey, there is always next year!

~~ My sister is "pool-sitting" for her aunt & uncle-in-law while they are on vacation, so I took the boys and my mom came and my sis & nephew and her friend and her son went swimming. 6 boys and 4 women=FUN! It was nice to hang with both my mom and sister without it being a big family-ta-do which is usually the case when we are all together. Reminded me of living at home with our pool, only I am not 18 with an actual chect that fell south o' the border anymore... WHATEVA!!

~~ My nephew is in his terrible 2's, and by that I mean he is into EVERYTHING and can not be told ANYTHING.. I was thinking (1) my kids were not as , eh, bad, as he is or (2) I have blacked that part of my life out.. the later is probably more the case but damn, I would NOT wanna do THAT again!!
