For those of you that know me, you know today is the day that I have been counting down since March, or more importantly for 4 years.. the day that DMB finally comes to Montage Mountian! The Ford Pavillion has been a site I have seen many concerts in the past years, but has never UNTIL TODAY hosted my very most favorite band!! They are in "my own backyard"... or so the slogan for NEPA goes. I am having heart palpatations just thinking that David J Matthews and his clan of lovely men (shout out to Stefan, Carter, Boyd & Leroi) are less than 1/2 hour from me is beyond words!!!
The downfalls (of course, it can NEVER be uneventful can it???) I have to work today... and by work I mean that today is by far and large the BUSIEST day I have had since taking this postion in Shipping&Receiving in January. I can not begin to put into words the actuallity of the business... it is just BAD.. enough to leave me with heartburn at 9 am that I swear is buring a hole straight through my chest. (now, that is no way to meet Dave... hey there is a chance *this* big that can happen... or at least humor me!!) My plan was to leave at 4:00, go home change, and Andy and I will be on our way... to fight traffic from the Baseball game and PGA masters that are ALL OCCURING ON THE SAME F*ING MOUNTIN TODAY THAT ONLY HAS ONE DIRECTION IN AND OUT (and YES I am YELLING!!) But with this chiaoticness that is my day I don't know if leaving early is even a possiblitly:( (think positive thoughts, think positive thoughts)
In any case, the worst thing that can happen is I will miss the HELLABULUB that is parking-lot-partying and the opening of Howie Day (which I was looking forward to) and get there just in time for boys to take the satge. Truth-be-told... I have arrived at other shows just in time for the opening notes of "BEST OF WHATS AROUND" or ushered in to the overwhelming screams of some good'ol fashioned Dave Speak... I also missed Norah Jones in 2001 (which I still kick my own ass for).. but the build up for this show has me wanting so despertaly to be there early and take it all in.... OH WELL.. I guess it is better than NOT GOING AT ALL (BLASPHEMY)
THEN AGAIN THERE IS ALWAYS SATURDAY AT HERSHEY!!!!!!!

Saturday will be more organized and relaxed, but today is today, so I am going crazy:)
